Billy Williams
Billy Williams was born in Australia and moved to the UK in 1899 at the age of 21, he had become very popular in the music hall having made his first songs at an early age in 1906. Billy recorded more than 500 songs in his lifetime and was well known for his performances his most famous being for King George V at the first Royal Command Performance. A prolific artist in many ways
and an important part of British recording history. In the year 1914 he became ill, and died on March 13th 1915 at the age of 37 from septic prostatitis.
